Proven ways to restoring peace in your mind

Acupncture

Conventional Acupuncture

Acupuncture, a key component of traditional Chinese medicine, involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. The fact that you are reading this means you've probably done research and already know the benefits of acupuncture. What you might not know is that there is more to just inserting needles at the right points. Atmosphere of the practice area and the relationship between clients and practitioners are key factors to a successful acupuncture treatment session because the flow of chi (life force in our body) can be negatively affected if not practiced in the right place by a trusted proctitioner.

That gives you a good reason to choose Complete Harmony Acupuncture. Our treatment rooms are very spacious unlike the ones in other acupuncture clinics where you feel you are squeezed in a small space. Beautifully decorated rooms make you feel like you are taking a vacation in nature (3 different themes), and we are proud of the great atmosphere. More importantly, one of our core values is a good communication skill. Both our staff members and Dr. Kim are all about listening and understanding your needs from setting up an appointment to very detailed things about your health conditions. Yes, it is more than just acupuncture.

Scalp Acupuncture

Scalp acupuncture has been widely used in diseases originated from the brain. The invention of scalp acupuncture has been with accordance to the neurology and reflexology knowledge of the brain and scalp structures. It could be used to deal with mental disorders, immobility, or speech impediment. Unlike body acupuncture, clients are not required to retain on bed and they can enjoy diminished sensation during needle insertion.

Korean Four-Needles Technique

Korean four-needles method is known to be one of the most effective acupuncture techniques because it gives an instant response at the time of treatment and has a high success rate in resolving chronic problems. This method requires an accurate pulse diagnose, and many practitioners fail to provide the right diagnosis. Born in Korea where four-needle technique was originated, Dr. Kim has extensive knowledge and experience for this technique. You should make an appointment today to get the earliest spot for your session with him.

Herbs & Supplements

We diagnose your unique pattern and create a custom herbal blend to go along with your acupuncture treatment. Just like acupuncture, herbs are adjusted as your body condition changes.

Herbs are a safe and natural treatment for many common health conditions. They are specially created to treat your symptoms as well as your constitutional diagnosis. We adopt your formula as your internal landscape changes, gently bringing your body back into balance. Herbal formulas are used as the building blocks that support our acupuncture treatments, and they support organ function and offset the effects of stress.

Adjunct Therapy

To boost the effectiveness of the acupuncture, we provide a few different types of therapies during the acupuncture session. They are adopted for certain reasons, but some clients just ask for them even when not necessary. The most popular one is cupping.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine. Special cups are put on your skin and suction is created. It is used for many purposes including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Reflexology

Studies have shown that stress contributes up to 80% for the development of any illness. In addition to acupuncture, reflexology is a great way to deal with stress. We use reflex maps of points and areas in ears, hands, and feet for stress, anxiety, pain, and fatigue. Certain organs can also be targeted, such as stomach and urinary bladders.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion has been used to treat a great range of symptoms for more than 2500 years. There are two types, direct and indirect. Direct type consists of burning dried mugwort on particular points, and indirect type includes a barrier between the burning mugwort and skin. Dr. Kim is a master of moxibustion, and he will happily demonstrate it on his own body if you want to see how it is done.

Electrical Stimulation

Two needles are used at strategic acupuncture points and connected to a machine that passes a small electric current through the needles. Electroacupuncture is a great way to treat neurological diseases, chronic pain, muscle spasms, and paralysis.

Infrared Heat Therapy

Detoxification, skin purification, improved circulation, relaxation, reduction of muscle tension, or pain relief are some of the roles of infrared therapy.
